Women and children first | Back
Women and children first The children learned about God’s love for them, and the life He intended for His children. They soon began to invite their parents.

Makarim used God’s Word and her Bible League training from Reza to reach more than 85 people. She soon left them under the leadership of another believer so she could move on to other ministry.

Turning the hearts of men
Bible League-trained Christians often express to Reza the need for Bibles, training, and prayer. “Sometimes,” she says, “there are places where the churches are full, but they need help. In one village, the husbands of women in that church asked us to stay for a whole month! We know that this can really help in their growth, but it takes time. Everywhere, people are amazed at how the Bible League works.”

This is the ministry you’re a part of—extending your love, sending God’s Word into action—even in the land of Christ’s birth!

MIDDLE EAST:
“Every time I travel to a village, I think, ‘Even if the Lord brought me here for this trip alone, it is worth it.’” Reza’s ministry to women in the Middle East takes her along some of the region’s most trouble-ridden paths. One pastor asked her, “How are you doing it? This kind of work should be for men, and even for them it’s too hard!”

Reza begins with women and children. “In one village,” she says, “all the children came with alcohol to our first meeting!” Although the people are Muslim by name, very few understand anything about Islam, Christianity, or any specific moral code.

Faith can be multiplied
In her desire to empower local church leaders, Reza identified a woman whose heart had already been prepared by the Holy Spirit. Makarim worked with Reza to gather more people in Bible study.
