Magic loses its power in Muneeb’s life
Muneeb trusted magic most of his life. Studying with an expert, he became proficient in the practice of black magic. Using herbs and magic stones, he conducted rituals for the people in his village. They hired him to come against the difficulties in their lives, such as diseases, illnesses, and family problems. He was the person to whom they turned in stressful times.

Appointment with the Gospel

One day, two church planters—trained by Bible League International—arrived in Muneeb’s village. With plans to establish a new church there, they started a home Bible study group. When Muneeb heard that they were Christians and teaching against magic, he felt threatened. He not only believed in the power of magic, but also counted on the income he received from the people he served. He made plans to stop the work of these Christians.

Muneeb went to the house where the Bible study group was meeting one night. When he entered the room, many in the group avoided looking at him because they were afraid of his evil powers. The leaders welcomed him, however, and invited him to sit down. He sat quietly in a corner, considering his plan to stop these men. Soon, thoughts of that plan faded, and the Word of God he was hearing grabbed his attention.

New agenda for life

God’s Word touched Muneeb’s heart, and he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He promised God that he would never use magic again.

God has done a mighty work in Muneeb’s life. Today, the people in his village know that he will help them during difficult times in their lives—by praying for them and sharing God’s Word with them. Now, many of them have joined Muneeb in turning to God.
