Amazed by the Holy Spirit“As a Christian, my responsibility is to help and love others,” says Muniiz, a Middle Eastern believer trained by Bible League International to share the Gospel in his country. “Jesus always did the things He talked about.”

Showing Christ’s love

Muniiz and his friend Irfan—also a believer—delivered some food to a home one day. Thirteen family members were gathered there. The father invited them inside, and they sat down with the group.

“My first thought was that we couldn’t talk about our faith with such a large group,” says Muniiz. “So I tried to find something to talk about. I noticed that one of the men was a smoker. I told him I had quit smoking. He asked how, and I said that God gave me the power to quit.”

Then Irfan told them how God had healed him when he was sick. A woman said that her daughter was sick. She asked if they would pray for the girl.

Praying with faith

“They brought the girl and put her in the middle of the group,” Muniiz recalls. “We invited everyone to gather around her and put their hands on her. We prayed.”

Then Irfan told them about Jesus Christ and asked if they wanted to give their lives to the Savior. “Irfan led the prayer of salvation, and all 13 people said the prayer with us,” Muniiz continues. “That was the first time we had seen 13 people accept Jesus Christ at the same time. This is the Holy Spirit at work.”
